OUT

During May and June 2007 we are reviewing and renewing our vision, with teaching on Sunday Mornings and discussions during the Sunday Evening and at Small group meetings during the week.

May 13th Up and OUT

“…Growing upwards into Christ & outwards into the community …”

For I know the plans I have for you… a time to lay hold of God and seek him …for without a vision the people perish…a time that is now but not yet…we still haven’t found what we’re looking for…get ready for BeFC’s big future-vision fest. A time to arrive at the beginning of a journey…a time to see a picture of what God could do in our time… who knows but we may be here for such a time as this…are you ready to see through God’s eyes with 20/20 clarity so vivid it will be like honey in the mouth but like fire in the belly.

June 3rd Reaching OUT …

The vision is for tens (even hundreds) of new Christians in the next 10 years; where there is a hub of purposeful activity around which we minister first to our local community— where there is a community youth and children’s work, a centre for after school clubs, youth outreach, a couple committed to reaching the young and a full time minister who is committed long term to building up this church. Where evangelism is something everyone gets to do, and conversions are a normal aspect of Church life.

June 10th Shouting OUT …

The vision is of a growing, worshipping community passionately in love with God and deeply committed to Jesus & His kingdom. Where the presence and power of God is evident and prayer is relevant, expectant, strategic and earnest.

June 17th Called OUT …

The vision is a community of disciples who live in obedience to the word of God, training and preparing for service to others through Bible study, small groups, mentoring, seminars, and retreats. Where members are outward looking, selfless, sensitive to the needs of others, and deeply committed each other in order to love, care for and serve others in everyday situations.

June 24th Living OUT …

The vision is for a welcoming community that feels like you have come home to family. A fellowship to which you can belong before believing or having to behave in a certain way, where everybody is accepted, is valued and trusts each other and nobody stands alone; where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.

July 1st Sent OUT …

The vision is for a proactive community where every member knows their gifting and is equipped for a significant ministry using their gifts. Where people can take risks and make mistakes as part of a process of continual learning. Where we recognize we live in a changing world and need to be faithful to an unchanging gospel.
